New Leadership Announced for Energy Practice

HOUSTON, MARCH 3, 2025 – Capco, the global management and technology company, has today announced Chris McNeely as the new Global Lead of its Energy practice and John Janssen as the new Head of the Capco Texas business. Both Chris and John have also become members of Capco’s global Senior Leadership Team.

The appointments of Chris and John – both long-established senior leaders within Capco’s Texas and Energy practice – follow the decision by Lance McAnelly, Global Head of Energy, to retire after over 30 years in the industry to spend more time with his family. Lance will remain at Capco through the end of Capco’s financial year to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

• Since joining Capco’s Energy business in 1998, Chris McNeely has worked with numerous leading global, national, and regional firms across the entire energy value chain, specializing in technology advisory, custom developed technology solutions, software integrations, regulatory compliance, and data integration and reporting. Prior to joining Capco, Chris worked at Accenture and was focused on their Energy Solutions offering.
  
  In his new role, Chris will be focused on the expansion of the Energy practice to capitalize on opportunities in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific, building on the momentum achieved in Capco’s Brazil and UK businesses. Chris will also continue to lead Capco’s business in Houston.
  
  
• John Janssen takes on overall responsibility for the Texas region of Capco and retains oversight of Capco’s Utilities practice. With 25 years of experience managing complex projects for both energy and financial services clients in the US, John specializes in large-scale program delivery and has extensive expertise working in trading, as well as regulated utilities and deregulated wholesale and retail market clients.
  
  With a track record in consulting stretching back almost 30 years, John began his career at James Martin & Company before moving to KPMG Consulting. Prior to joining Capco, John spent 15 years at SunGard Consulting Services, focusing on delivering large scale programs and application development projects.
