Each year, Capco is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day - a day dedicated to honoring the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women throughout history and across the globe.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #EmbraceEquity
Equity means fair treatment, access, and advancement. The term is often mistaken for equality, but there is a difference in definition. Equality means providing the same to all, whereas equity means recognising that we do not all start from the same place and that we may need to make adjustments to meet people’s unique needs. A focus on workplace equity includes fairness in compensation practices, opportunities for advancement, and overall employee experience. It’s a way in which equality is achieved.
Practicing equity is about transforming our systems and culture, whilst challenging stereotypes, calling out discrimination, drawing attention to bias, and seeking out inclusion.
At Capco, we continue to work towards a more equitable future and discrimination-free environment for all our people, our clients, and the communities we serve. In line with our #BeYourselfAtWork culture, we focus on achieving fairness in our systems to ensure an environment where people can authentically be themselves at work. We are committed to bringing about positive change and being part of the solution, not the problem.

WHAT DOES EQUITY MEAN TO YOU? |
HOW CAN WE EMBRACE EQUITY? |
Through my involvement with Women@Capco, I have found mentorship and guidance to navigate my career and cultivate new friendships. | Equity means fairness. No one person is the same. It requires different levels of effort and support to ensure everyone is on the same playing field. | Practice allyship through continuous education, and challenging mindsets, norms, and status quo wherever possible. |
