I'm Wahiba, a Manager at Capco specializing in Data Finance & Risk and Data Quality Management for regulatory data (BCBS239). My journey has been shaped by a strong foundation in education and ambition, values instilled by my parents from an early age. These principles guided me through rigorous studies at the École Supérieure de Banque in Algiers and the École Supérieure de Commerce in Paris.
My professional journey has been diverse and rich, allowing me to develop a global perspective on the challenges in the financial sector. This experience has reinforced my adaptability and fuelled my passion for continuous learning.
Colleagues appreciate my ability to bring a sense of humour and positivity to my team, even under pressure. I believe that a constructive attitude can transform work environment, making challenges more manageable and fostering effective collaboration. I strive to bring positive energy to every project, ensuring that even the most demanding tasks remain enjoyable and motivating for everyone.
I joined Capco as I was searching for a firm that could offer a diverse range of projects and innovation while maintaining a human scale. What particularly attracted me was Capco's expertise in the financial sector combined with its ability to drive digital transformations and address regulatory and CSR challenges. The opportunity to work with a portfolio of global clients was another attraction, as it guarantees stimulating and varied missions.
What makes Capco stand out for me is the emphasis on innovation and creativity, which is encouraged through initiatives like Be Yourself At Work. This has allowed me not only to develop my skills on exciting projects but also to grow in an inclusive environment where everyone can truly thrive.
Before Capco, my career spanned various areas within the banking sector. I started as a Front/Middle Office analyst at a popular bank in Algeria, before transitioning into audit and inspection at a large international bank in Paris. Later, I moved into consulting, joining a French firm specialized in the banking sector. There, I worked on major projects for leading French banks, particularly in project management, credit risk, and data quality on regulatory projects.
I joined Capco Paris in 2022 as a Senior Consultant. After two years of dedication and contribution to various projects, I was promoted to Manager. My journey at Capco has been filled with diverse and exciting projects, internal contributions, and collaborations with extraordinary colleagues.
One standout experience has been the opportunity to contribute to workshops on complex topics such as Basel IV, as well as participating in CSR initiatives. My involvement in the Women at Capco community, where I engaged with associations and partnerships, has been particularly meaningful. These experiences, combined with cultural outings and memorable social events, have left a lasting impact on me.
What made my journey at Capco even more formative was the opportunity to participate in the firm's business development activities. I gained exposure to strategic and growth initiatives, acquiring valuable skills beyond my traditional consulting missions. This experience has allowed me to develop a more holistic view of the profession and enhance my expertise.
On the client side, I've had equally enriching experiences. I've had the chance to build strong relationships with clients, which not only advanced my professional development but also deepened my understanding of the specific challenges they face. I've been involved in several projects focused on data quality, financial risks, and the development of quality frameworks for various divisions of a major international bank. These projects have further strengthened my passion for consulting and my commitment to contributing to high-value initiatives.
Outside of work, I dedicate a lot of time to running, which helps me relax and stay fit. I especially enjoy running along the Seine in Paris, where I can soak in the Parisian atmosphere while challenging myself physically. Recently, I've discovered a new passion for rowing and joined the Boulogne92 rowing club. Rowing requires intense concentration and synchronization with team members, and it offers the chance to enjoy the stunning landscapes surrounding the area.
Photography and painting fuel my creativity and love for discovery. Traveling is also one of my great passions. I love discovering new parts of the world and exploring the diverse cultures, landscapes, and traditions that make our planet so fascinating. These experiences enrich my perspective and fuel my curiosity about everything around me.
