My name is Nora. I grew up in Algeria, in a family that valued both open-mindedness and academic rigor. Studying was the main focal point, but I managed to pursue my passion for gymnastics despite my parents' initial reservations about how much time it required. I proved that I could balance both.

This experience taught me responsibility and determination from a young age. Gymnastics, with its blend of discipline and fun, always kept me motivated, even on snowy days (yes, we do have very cold winters in Algeria) when nothing could keep me from training.

Similarly, my interest in technology blossomed from the fascinating idea that lines of code could create something functional and innovative. It's like turning invisible strings into a puppet show. This combination of creativity and rigor drew me to a career in IT.

I left home early to move to Paris, a city that continues to inspire me, to continue my studies and gain international professional experience. Once in Paris, I immediately found my place, and it is now my second home.

My career choices have always been driven by the desire to learn and face new challenges. In 2021, I was specifically looking for a consultancy that focused on the banking industry and aligned with my professional goals. A friend's enthusiastic recommendation led me to Capco, and after researching the company's values and projects, I was convinced it would be the right fit.

What stood out for me during the interview process was the opportunity to meet with partners engaged in projects. This unique approach made me feel valued and understood from the start. My first impression of Capco was overwhelmingly positive - the people were welcoming, and the atmosphere was professional yet relaxed. I particularly enjoyed the convivial moment spent with the team after the interview, sharing a delicious Japanese meal. After all, who can resist sushi when making such an important decision?

I joined Capco in 2021 as a Product Owner, quickly taking on responsibilities such as guiding teams towards effective solutions and ensuring seamless communication among all stakeholders. Capco recognized my potential and experience, which allowed me to grow into my current managerial role where I build and lead teams to meet diverse client needs.

This transition has been both challenging and rewarding, keeping me motivated and eager to learn. As a woman in IT, gaining recognition can occasionally require extra effort. However, Capco's belief in my capabilities has been pivotal to my success.

One of the most memorable aspects of my journey at Capco has been the exceptional mentor I've had the privilege to work with. Their guidance and support have been instrumental in my professional growth and development.

My proudest achievement at Capco was leading a data migration project between two banks. Our goal was to migrate all data and have the new bank operational by January 1st, which we successfully achieved thanks to our team's efforts.

My key role involved setting up the communication chain, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing data usability for various banking functions. I also supported the bank's teams by clarifying file contents and helping them access critical information. This project, requiring both technical and business expertise, remains my greatest professional accomplishment at Capco.

Outside of work, I find inspiration and strength through various activities. I love spending time with friends, traveling, and engaging in sports. I enjoy playing tennis, golf, piano, cooking. When it comes to reading, I'm a bit of a book snob and spend a lot of time hunting for the perfect read. Photography is a passion of mine, and I often visit museums to appreciate art and culture. These pursuits help me maintain a balanced life and recharge my creative energies.

In addition, I teach at a university, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This allows me to contribute to the development of future professionals in our field while keeping me connected to the latest academic developments.
