I was born and raised in Belgium, with a Turkish background. In addition to my consulting job, I also run a construction company together with my father, focusing on high quality finishing work. I take care of sales, client relations and planning. Many things I have learnt from being part of a family business apply in my job at Capco. 

After graduation, I wanted to join an asset management firm as an analyst. Unfortunately, the pandemic struck and the job market was tight. So, I decided to broaden my horizon and I got the opportunity to start in a general financial services consultancy. 

Thanks to Capco, I can now combine consulting with asset management. It is a job that aligns with my interests and challenges me every day. 

I noticed Capco because of their exclusive focus on financial services and investment services. After joining, I realized that there are many opportunities to take on responsibility. The management gives you the freedom to go to market, talk to clients and prospects, continue training, write articles, and more, even at a consultant level.  

Capco approached me via LinkedIn, and I had a nice open interview with the recruiter, like talking to a friend. The final interview with a partner was also very agreeable. He was putting a lot of focus on entrepreneurship and taking actions to help the company grow. This was the drive and energy I wanted, which is unique.

Capco is really people focussed. As an example, they always match projects with your profile and interests.

Capco showed me what consultancy is and how it works. I get a lot of opportunities for training, contact with potential clients and coaching from my superiors. 

My first mission as an asset manager was a data migration and reporting project at a European asset management firm. I was proud to correct the issues and come up with an optimization plan that was implemented successfully. The project itself was very challenging and I learned a lot in a short time frame. 

My career and professional development are very important to me. I try to learn new things and become a better consultant every day. Work is about discipline, and I persevere to deliver results and contribute to Capco Belgium’s growth. I am person with a strong drive and energy, moving forward and striving for results, despite failures I face every day.

In my free time, I like to enjoy life with my friends and family. I like to travel to destinations with a tropical climate. I am also part of the Rotaract - an international service organization, aimed at young adults and focused on community service (organizing and participating in local projects), professional development (networking and skills training workshops) and fellowship (social activities and events).

Furthermore, I also put a lot of importance on sports, training four-five times a week. It is perfect for me to reduce stress and stay healthy, through a combination of strength training, kickboxing and running.
