I love to golf, ski and generally keep fit.
I wanted to work in management consultancy as my previous employer had used me like a consultant throwing me at problems and tough stakeholders which I enjoy. I looked at various consultancies but Capco was my preference because of its size (smaller than others with a big parent company), Scotland vision and growth and the cultural fit.
I thrive on challenge and opportunity. If there is a problem to solve or some tough stakeholders then I am engaged and driven. That’s why I like to work in change and transformation as it is always engaging and new issues are always arising keeping the work interesting. I am very outcomes focused and take great pride in teamwork and celebrating successful outcomes.
Not a typical career path staring with a 1st class honours degree in Biochemistry, 10 years setting up and running the midlands, northern UK, Scotland and Ireland operation for a global recruitment company. Them I spent 12 years with a major tier 1 global bank working on various resourcing, change, HR and transformation programmes gaining lots of varied experience across financial services and banking. Management consultancy with Capco brings all this experience together for me.
I use to work as a chef from the age of 13 and whilst studying through Uni. It was great fun and taught me a lot about teamwork, people engagement and effective leadership. It’s also pretty handy skills to have at home and entertaining.
