Why did you choose Capco?

I chose Capco because:

  • I wanted to experience a variety of consulting work
  • I wanted to work for a non-bureaucratic company where employees could get things done
  • The people that interviewed me were interesting and asked great questions
  • Staff said 'hello' when I was sat in reception waiting for my interview... no one's ever done that before!

What's the best part of working for Capco?

The people. I've worked for a few companies over the years but never with such a consistently good, interesting, engaging and intelligent group of people!

Tell us about a day in the life of a Capco consultant.

My day starts between 8 and 9am, involves 2-3 hours of meetings, time spent preparing reports, collecting data and liaising with both clients and Capco colleagues. After 6 or 7pm I might head home, head to a course or get on with some internal work to build the firm. I'm currently working on the recruitment website and Capco's digital marketing.

The best piece of advice you've ever received.

I've had loads of advice over years. My favourite is: "If you make an error - and you will - admit it quickly"...it's seen me through plenty of pickles!

Interesting fact about you.

I once had to chase after, jump into and stop a runaway police car after the police driver left it parked on asteep hill without the handbrake on!
