Capco role and focus
Prof. Shahin Shojai is Capco’s Global Head of Strategic Research, Director of the Capco Institute, Editor of the Journal of Financial Transformation, Director of the Cass-Capco Institute Paper Series on Risk, and Director of the SFI-Capco Institute Paper Series in Banking. Prof. Shojai is among the world’s foremost applied financial economists and is ranked among the top 100 economic scholars on the Social Science Research Network.

Thought leadership
Prof. Shojai is currently also a Senior Professor in Finance and Strategic Management at the Institute of Management Technology. Previously, he has held visiting or full professorial appointments at renowned academic institutions around the world, including London University, Boston University, Paris Graduate School of Management (Groupe ESCP), Université Paris-Dauphine, Syracuse University, and the American University in London, where he was the chairman of the finance faculty.

Professional background
Prior to joining Capco, Shahin was President and CEO of WRA Group, a syndicated research company providing research and advisory services to the treasurers and CFOs of Fortune 500 companies. Before that, he was Director of the European Institute, a think tank for CEOs of the 92 largest institutional asset management firms in Europe and North America.
