Capco role and focus
Andreas Traum has more than 15 years of consulting experience for financial services companies, supporting exchanges, clearing and settlement providers and investment banks with a focus on trading, clearing and settlement. His experiences include strategy definition, large custom developments as well as integration of packaged software. Andreas has managed large-scale multi-site and off-shore transformation and delivery projects for globally leading financial institutions.

Industry expertise
Andreas’ extensive industry experience covers the breadth of the financial services industry. He has particular knowledge of Capital Markets, Market Infrastructure, and Investment Banking. He has knowledge of a broad range of financial products, supported by a strong understanding of and deep expertise in consulting. Select project experience includes (but is not limited to):

• Definition of updated business strategy and delivery of a €500M transformation program for leading European provider of liquidity services
• Definition of business and architecture principles for next generation target architecture covering all business domains of an international CSD group
• Program management of post merger integration of back office platforms of two global investment banks, responsible for definition of post merger target architecture, design, build, test activities, migration and roll-out and multi-site development including capability development in off-shore resource team
• Program management for implementation of the trading and back office platform for global banks, responsible for design, build and test activities, migration and roll-out
• Delivery manager for the custom built CCP solution for equities, fixed income and derivatives, responsible for conceptual and functional design of the establishment of the central counterparty (CCP) for an international clearing house
• Various functional and delivery roles in the development, extension and transformation of stock exchange platforms of globally active stock exchanges in Europe and Africa

Thought Leadership
Andreas is actively involved in the development of Capco's thought leadership and has recently authored "Financial Transaction Tax: FTT Imprecise? Yes. Inevitable? Perhaps. Immensely Impactful? No Doubt.".

Professional background
Andreas joined Capco’s Partner team in Frankfurt from Accenture. He has over a decade and a half of experience working across the financial services value chain, including roles as Program Manager, Client Partner and Delivery Partner.
